York Jewellers are on the lookout for Jewellery Consultants to join our expanding in-store team.

Under the guidance of our dedicated jewellery professionals, you’ll develop best-in-class sales skills, learn how to provide superior customer service, and get to share in some of our clients’ most joyous moments.

Whether it be weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, or another occasion, the Penrith community relies on our beguiling jewellery to make it special. As such, you’ll need to share a love for meeting new people, understanding client needs, and forging lasting relationships.

Our ideal candidates will have:

  • Retail experience (jewellery retail experience ideal but not essential as training will be provided)

    Stock Controller

    York Jewellers are on the lookout for an experienced Stock Controller to join our expanding in-store team.

    Working closely with our dedicated jewellery professionals, you’ll demonstrate superior stock management and administration skills to help meet increasing demand for our bespoke and ready-made designs.

    Whether it be weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, or another occasion, the Penrith community relies on our stunning jewellery to make it special. This role is critical to ensuring clients experience a seamless and enjoyable buying experience.

    Essential Skills and Attributes:

    • Good understanding of effective stock management principles
    • Good business acumen regarding stock procurement, pricing, margin and turnover
    • Consistently high awareness of security of stock
    • Good stock administration skills
    • Ability to deliver excellent customer service consistently
    • Ability to partner with management and Store Sales Managers to manage stock
    • Flexibility, a “can do” attitude and willingness to learn
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks

      The hiring manager will review your application, and if we think you might be a good fit for us, a member of our team will contact you.

      1. Telephone Call

      When you meet our selection criteria, we'll schedule a time for a phone call to ask you to talk through your experience and interests and why you'd like to work at York Jewellers.

      1. Interview

      Assuming the phone call was successful, you'll be invited to attend a face-to-face interview.

      1. Pre-employment Screening

      You will be required to complete a pre-employment screening form so that we may process a credit and criminal history check. All information is kept private and confidential.

      1. Reference Checks

      With your permission, we would like to speak with your references and your most recent employers. We request that you please advise your referees that we will be contacting them.

      1. Paid Trial

      It’s time to meet the team and to start getting to know each other. This is a paid trial wherein we will assess your ability to deliver service with a smile and assist our existing team with their daily activities.
