Marketing & Community Engagement Manager

Location: Penrith | Part-Time or Full-Time (Flexible for the right person)

Are you a creative thinker who loves connecting with people, telling brand stories, and growing online communities? 
We’re looking for a passionate Marketing & Community Engagement Manager to help elevate our brand, build relationships, and drive both in-store and online growth.

This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who thrives in a small/medium business environment and wants to make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

Marketing Strategy & Campaigns:
  • Plan and execute seasonal marketing campaigns across digital and print.
  • Coordinate product launches, promotions, and brand storytelling.
  • Track campaign performance and adjust strategy based on results.

Social Media Management:
  • Create and post engaging content across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Build our social media community by interacting with followers.
  • Monitor analytics and grow our reach organically and through paid content.

Customer Engagement & Feedback:
  • Connect with customers to collect testimonials and stories.
  • Monitor online and in-store feedback to improve brand experience.
  • Build a loyal following by celebrating our customers and community.

PR & Events:
  • Organise and promote in-store events.
  • Organise collection launches.
  • Create guest lists and invitations. 
  • Collaborate with influencers, stylists, and local media.
  • Write press releases and help get our story out there.

What You’ll Bring:
  • A good marketing candidate will expect to see different technology expectations in a list (eg. Adobe, Figma, Klaviyo, Shopify)
  • Experience in marketing, social media, or brand management (bonus if it’s in retail, fashion, or jewellery).
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills.
  • A good eye for design and branding.
  • Confidence using Instagram, Facebook, Meta Business Suite, and email platforms like Mailchimp or Klaviyo.
  • Creativity, initiative, and a genuine interest in connecting with people.

When you meet our selection criteria, we'll schedule a time for a phone call to ask you to talk through your experience and interests and why you'd like to work at York Jewellers.

Assuming the phone call was successful, you'll be invited to attend a face-to-face interview.

  1. Pre-employment Screening

You will be required to complete a pre-employment screening form so that we may process a credit and criminal history check. All information is kept private and confidential.

  1. One Hour Trial

It’s time to meet the team and to start getting to know each other. This is a one hour trial wherein we will assess your ability to deliver service with a smile and assist our existing team with their daily activities.
