Penrith Jewellers Creating a Brighter Tomorrow

A good deed can have an effect that transcends the act itself; a notion we hold in high regard. The beauty of giving back to the community is that giving back is its very own gift. This is why we have named January our “Penrith Community Giveback” month.

As such, we have chosen to partner with the Nepean Hospital, to support both the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Children’s ward.

We consider “community” our middle name. For as long as we can remember, we have relished the opportunity to give back where possible and support local organisations in this beautiful city we call home. After all, giving back is at the very core of what we are all about at York Jewellers. When we help each other, we foster connection, but more importantly, it feeds our desire to make a difference. It allows us to create a ripple of positive impact, which we have found inspires others to do the same.

The response we have received from customers has been remarkable, it really does go to show how connected we truly are as a community. Over the month, countless conversations have transpired between staff and our York clients regarding the contributions we are making to such a worthy organisation. It has profoundly touched our hearts knowing just how many special and significant stories are connected to the Nepean Hospital. We are proud to say we have raised $7854 and we are only at the half way mark.

Though much has been said about how we incorporate philanthropy into our culture, few people understand the lasting impact it has on our employees. The impact from the Giveback month of January has been no exception.

Over time, many of the staff have said giving back to the Penrith community makes them feel happy and fulfilled. This is how the York Jewellers’ value set of “people before profit” has continued to strengthen over forty-five years.

Why is giving back important? Whether it comes in the form of being a shoulder to lean on for a friend in need, or contributing some extra dollars to a worthwhile cause, we realise the importance of contribution and the innate need we have to create positive change as members of society. By helping us, you help the community. For every purchase made between 27 December 2020 and 31 January 2021, York Jewellers will donate $21.
